Details

PerkinElmer is considered the forefather of the automatic thermal desorber (ATD); they have produced and sold the most thermal desorption instruments in 70+ countries. However, PerkinElmer sells ATD tubes that are manufactured by a 3rd party. Their employees who possess little if any thermal desorption applications expertise or toubleshooting skills.

Camsco provides innovative sorbent tubes which are designed for use in any PerkinElmer instrument. Both glass and stainless steel ATD tubes have barcodes and unique serial numbers for each tube. Flow direction arrows are included on fritless glass tubes. To ensure sample and testing accuracy, we SilcoTek® coat all internal metal parts as part of our standard manufacturing process. SilcoTek® coated wire mesh and G-clips are less likely to introduce active sites and interfere with your analysis.

Camsco uses only the best raw materials. Camsco steel ATD sorbent tubes are made using Surgical Grade 316L stainless steel. Our borosilicate-33 glass tube stock is German Schott-Duran; we never use Simax glass.

Camsco has built over 2 million tubes by our experienced tube fabricators: many of whom have more than 10,000 hours of specialized tube manufacturing expertise. Camsco's vertically integrated manufacturing facility allows us to oversee all steps of the manufacturing process personally, without relying on third parties, to ensure highest quality products. Because of this, we are able to produce more sorbent tubes than all other providers combined - at the highest quality, and the lowest price.

COGNI™ System

For ease in identifying tubes, all tubes come standard marked with our specialized COGNI system. Barcode, serial number, and circumferential bands come standard as part of the COGNI System. The identification marks are permanently embedded on the tubes, offering an inherent advantage over other identification methods.

  • Three bands for Tenax™ TA tubes
  • Two bands for air toxic tubes
  • One band for Carbograph™ 1 {Carbopack™ B} tubes
  • No band for other tubes
  • Four bands available for customer specified requirements
