PerkinElmer and Markes both use sorbent tubes that are generally considered the “industry standard tubes.” Our expansive in-house manufacturing capabilities provide flexibility for clients, including the ability to fuse glass frits, centerless grinding, glass blowing, grinding, lapping, annealing and polishing – all with the experience that comes with having manufactured well over one million thermal desorption tubes since 1991. Camsco makes Stainless Steel and glass tubes in several configurations for all of the PerkinElmer and Markes instruments.

Standard Features

Camsco uses only the best raw materials. Our borosilicate-33 glass tube stock is Schott-Duran and we never use Simax tubing. Both glass and steel have unique serial numbers and flow direction arrows are included on fritless glass tubes. The steel used these tubes is highest grade 316L stainless. The glass tubes have fused glass frits.

Custom Features – Stainless Steel

Custom options include inert coatings from Restek, AMCX and Corning quartz vapor deposition. We also include laser direct mark unique serial numbers, laser bonded ceramic two color appliqué with lot info or logo and color tube banding. In addition, our tubes include inerted wire cloth disks & retention clips. Conditioned tubes can be shipped with compression fittings, TurboMatrix compatible fittings, Teflon press-fit end caps and glass or plastic storage containers all manufactured by Camsco. Tubes can also be shipped without caps unconditioned. Teflon inserts available.

Custom Features – Borosilicate Glass

Options include Camsco’s patented ceramic barcode, fused glass frits at 15 or 30mm, without glass frits, quartz glass wool, laser bonded 7 color ceramic appliqué for lot or logo. We offer ceramic bands and dots in 7 colors. Tube manufacturing includes centerless grinding, ground ends, chamfers, lapping, annealing, polishing and fire-polishing.
