About Camsco – A Thermal Desorption Tube Manufacturer: Camsco was founded in 1991 and a majority of its business is still focused on the military for identifying and quantifying chemical warfare agents. Increasingly, Camsco’s thermal desorption tubes are used for environmental monitoring, industrial hygiene, breath analysis, development of flavors and fragrances, quality, airport security and by first responders.

Products – Thermal Desorption Tubes and Products from Camsco: Camsco’s experienced technicians hand make all products and thermal desorption tubes, including DAAMS and Fast Flow tubes, Focusing Traps, VGT and V to G Conversion Pads, NOx – HD Filters. Camsco’s quality system is ISO 9001-2000 and NATO AQAP110 certified.
- DAAMS Tubes and Preconcentrator Tubes (PCTs): The predecessor to the US Chemical Materials Agency developed thermal desorption tube monitoring methods for chemical warfare agents to be implemented at US sites associated with CW materials. That method became known as The Depot Area Air Monitoring System (DAAMS). The method has been in use for over 20 years now. Camsco has been a leader in the development of quality standards and innovations for DAAMS since 1991.
- Sorbent Tubes for CDS Dynatherm Instruments: Camsco manufactures the entire spectrum of tubes used in Dynatherm instruments. Dynatherms have been used for many years for both civilian and military applications. Camsco has the in-house capabilities to address several complex applications from fused glass frits, precision bore, centerless grinding to multiple compound outside diameters, glass blowing, grinding, lapping, annealing and polishing.
- Sorbent Tubes for Gerstel Thermal Desorption Units: Camsco manufacturers both the glass and stainless steel tubes used in Gerstel instruments in the 6mm x 7” size. Our expansive in-house manufacturing capabilities provide flexibility for clients, including the ability to fuse glass frits, centerless grinding, glass blowing, grinding, lapping, annealing and polishing – all with the experience that comes with having manufactured well over one million thermal desorption tubes since 1991.
- Sorbent Tubes for PerkinElmer and Markes Instruments: PerkinElmer and Markes both use sorbent tubes that are generally considered the “industry standard tubes.” Our expansive in-house manufacturing capabilities provide flexibility for clients, including the ability to fuse glass frits, centerless grinding, glass blowing, grinding, lapping, annealing and polishing – all with the experience that comes with having manufactured well over one million thermal desorption tubes since 1991. Camsco makes Stainless Steel and glass tubes in several configurations for all of the PerkinElmer and Markes instruments.
- V tO G Conversion and NOx/HD Prefilters: The US Chemical Materials Agency developed the DAAMS thermal desorption monitoring methods for chemical warfare agents over 20 years ago. Two important tools in this method are V to G conversion pads and NOx/HD prefilters. Camsco has been a leader in the development of quality standards and innovations since 1991.
- Sorbent Tubes for Tekmar-Dohrmann Thermal Desorption Units: Camsco manufactures both the glass and stainless Tekmar-Dohrmann type tubes in two sizes’ .25” and .50”. Our expansive in-house manufacturing capabilities provide flexibility for clients, including the ability to fuse glass frits, centerless grinding, glass blowing, grinding, lapping, annealing and polishing – all with the experience that comes with having manufactured well over one million thermal desorption tubes since 1991.

- Conditioning Options: Camsco is not limited to any single brand of adsorbent, so the choice is yours – whether it is made by Aldrich, Buchem, HayeSep, SKC, Supelco®, or World Mineral, we can supply a host of different options. There are many resources available for sorbent selection and often our customers know which applications call for which sorbents, however we are glad to offer our assistance.
- Packaging Options: Our highly-specialized, single-focus strategy results in a wide variety of quality products for our clients. Our manufacturing facility is ISO 9001-2000 certified.
